# ChatterLab > ChatterLab is an EU-hosted platform for building AI chat agents: chatbots that answer a website's visitors from that business's own content, say how sure they are, and tell visitors they are talking to an AI, as the EU AI Act requires. Built for businesses, web studios and agencies. ChatterLab is run by SRI Group BV, Antwerp, Belgium (https://chatterlab.ai). Its interface is in English, Dutch, French, German and Spanish, and an agent answers in the visitor's language. ## Key facts - Knowledge: a website (crawled, or read from its sitemap, including the PDF files it links to), uploaded files (PDF, Word and text), texts, and question-and-answer pairs. - On a site: a chat widget added with one script tag, or an iframe. - Every answer is recorded with the pages it drew on and a confidence score: whether the content held the answer. A confident answer is also checked for grounding: whether the answer is supported by those pages. The business sees both in its dashboard, and the answers that were weak are listed so they can be fixed. Visitors see the answer, with a link when it comes from a PDF on the site. - Data: the application, the database and file storage run in the European Union, and answers are written by models reached through a European provider. Two steps run in the United States under data-processing terms: turning text into search vectors (OpenAI, which does not train on it) and sending e-mail (Resend). A data processing agreement is available on request. - EU AI Act: every widget says it is an AI (Article 50), and every answer is marked as AI-generated in the page's code. High-risk uses (recruitment, credit scoring, healthcare) are refused when an agent is created, except on Enterprise, which is agreed with us individually. - Branding: your own name, colour and logo on every plan, the free one included. The "Powered by ChatterLab" badge comes off with an add-on at €49 a month on any paid plan. - Follow-up: contact details collected in the chat and tickets answered by e-mail (paid plans), and appointments booked through Calendly. - Developers: a REST API and an MCP server, so that an assistant such as Claude can set agents up. - Agencies: clients with usage per client, a monthly report for each client in their language, a read-only dashboard per client, your own domain. ## Plans Prices in euro, excluding VAT, per workspace rather than per seat.
