What a credit is
You pay for answers in credits. An answer costs a fixed number of credits that depends on the model, not on its length: 1 credit for most models, a few more for the largest ones. A one-line answer and a five-paragraph answer cost the same. Questions you ask in the Playground cost the same as a visitor's, and the second opinion that checks an answer against your sources is free.
Your monthly credits are shared by every agent in the workspace and start again on the first of the month. What you do not use does not carry over. Models and credits has the details.
What every plan includes
Every plan, the free one included, comes with:
- the chat widget, added to any site with one script tag or an iframe
- every kind of source: a website crawled or read from its sitemap, the PDFs it links to, uploaded PDF, Word and text files, and question-and-answer pairs
- every answer recorded with the pages it drew on and a confidence score
- Activity, with every conversation, and an Overview of the questions asked most and the answers worth fixing
- booking through Calendly from inside the chat
- your own name, colour and logo on the widget
- hosting in the European Union, and the AI notice the EU AI Act asks for

Free gives you 100 credits a month and one agent on the models that cost 1 credit an answer. Enterprise is arranged in conversation, with a dedicated EU region and an SLA. Paying yearly saves about 20%.
Add-ons
On any paid plan you can add, under Settings:
- AI credits: 1,000 credits for €30 a pack, bought when you need them or added automatically when you run low. Purchased credits do not expire.
- Extra agents: €19 per agent a month.
- Remove "Powered by ChatterLab": €49 a month, for every agent in the workspace.
What an AI chatbot costs elsewhere
Chatbots are sold three ways. An agency can build one for you as a project, with a monthly fee for running it. A platform charges per seat, per resolved conversation or per message. Or you build one yourself on a model's API and pay for the developer time. ChatterLab is the second kind with the simplest meter we could make: a flat plan per workspace, credits per answer, and nothing charged beyond your plan unless you buy credits. If you run agents for clients, the Agency plan is built for that.
Questions about pricing
Is there a free AI chatbot plan?
Yes. Free costs nothing, has no time limit and gives you one agent with 100 credits a month, your own branding and every kind of source. The "Powered by ChatterLab" badge stays on the free plan. See the free plan.
What happens when the credits run out?
The agent stops answering until the next month starts, and nothing extra is charged. On a paid plan you can keep it answering: buy a pack of 1,000 credits for €30, or switch on automatic top-ups, which add a pack to your next invoice when you run low.
Do you charge per seat?
No. A plan is per workspace. Free, Starter and Studio include 1 person who signs in, Agency 5 with the owner included, and Enterprise unlimited.
Are the prices with or without VAT?
Without. VAT is added from your billing address. A business in an EU country other than Belgium, where we are based, can enter its VAT number at checkout, and the VAT is then reverse charged.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
At any time, under Settings. An upgrade applies as soon as the payment goes through. Moving down deletes nothing: agents beyond the new plan pause until you upgrade again.
