What ChatterLab is

ChatterLab puts an assistant on your website that answers questions from what you have already written: your site, your documents, your own notes. It does not improvise. When your content does not cover a question, the agent says so.

What you get#

• An agent with its own instructions, language and look.
• Knowledge you give it: a website it reads, files you upload, texts and question-and-answer pairs you type in.
• A widget: one script tag, or an iframe, on any site you allow.
• A way to see how it is doing: every conversation, the questions asked most, and the answers most worth fixing.

Two numbers on every answer#

Most chat tools give you an answer and nothing else. Every answer here carries two measurements:

• Confidence says how sure we are that your content contained the answer at all. It comes from the search, before a word is written.
• Grounding is a second opinion. A separate check reads the finished answer next to the passages it was given and says whether the answer is supported by them.

Together they tell you where your agent is strong and, more usefully, exactly where it is not. How an answer is made explains both.

• A business that wants its own site to answer the questions its inbox keeps getting.

Where it runs#

The application, the database and file storage run in the European Union. Answers are written by models reached through a European provider. Two steps run outside the EU, turning text into search vectors and sending e-mail, and Data and privacy says exactly what goes there and why. The agent always tells a visitor they are talking to an AI, as the EU AI Act requires.
